Almost everywhere! With MINI Charging, we offer an ever-growing, international network of public charging points, including high-power charging stations from various providers. MINI Charging is a service provided by Digital Charging Solutions GmbH. Look up detailed information on the availability of public charging infrastructure at your location, or at locations that are relevant to you. The best place to find this information is at https://mini-charging.com. Alternatively, you can easily view public charging posts in the on-board MINI Navigation or the MINI App*. Your electric MINI comes with the fast charging cable (Mode 3) for public charging and the MINI Charging Card (depending on the national market). Moreover, as a MINI driver, you can enjoy exclusive and attractive conditions and benefits in the MINI Charging network. Simply register at https://mini-charging.com.

*The MINI App is only supported by vehicles that were built after March 2018 and have the MINI Connected Services or Teleservices optional equipment in combination with a compatible smartphone. The availability and functions of the MINI App are market-dependent.

Plug & Charge is a convenient public charging feature that no longer requires separate authentication by car or app at the charging station. As soon as you have set up Plug & Charge in a few simple steps, simply drive to a Plug & Charge-capable charging station and plug in your charging cable. That's all there is to it. Charging starts automatically and you are billed by MINI Charging or via another charging contract. Incidentally, you can sign up to multiple contracts for your vehicle. Check which charging stations support Plug & Charge in the MINI Navigation or in the MINI App*. When you switch off your electric motor, the Goodbye screen also displays whether the nearest charging option is working, and which contract could be used for the nearest charging process.

In Europe, access to the public high-power charging network (HPC) from IONITY is included in the MINI Charging service, which is provided by Digital Charging Solutions GmbH. Additionally, you will be given your MINI Charging Card when your vehicle is delivered. Customers who have purchased a new vehicle from a MINI branch or dealer are also exempt from the standing charge for 1 year on the relevant charging tariffs and packages. When purchasing a new electric MINI vehicle, the IONITY Plus package is also included with no standing charge for the first year. Therefore, you can charge for favourable conditions within the IONITY network throughout Europe. Now all you need to do is register for MINI Charging, sign a charging contract with the Active tariff, and then in less than 24 hours you’ll be able to start charging at IONITY. THINGS WE'RE OFTEN ASKED.

You can charge your car at any available domestic power socket. And, with an adapter cable that is available separately, you can also use the MINI Flexible Charging Cable at other industrial ("high-power") sockets with a charging power of up to 11 kW. With electric vehicles, charging takes longer with alternating current (AC) depending on the infrastructure and the capacity of their high-voltage battery. In contrast, direct current (DC) allows for significantly faster charging. In everyday use, you should preferably charge at AC charging stations, at wall boxes, and at DC charging stations with lower charging capacities of up to 100 kW. This optimizes both the charging efficiency and the lifespan of your MINI electric vehicle's battery. Particularly comfortable, fast, and safe charging can be done at home with a wallbox, which significantly reduces the charging time compared to using a household socket. The MINI Wallbox Plus has a charging capacity of up to 22 kW.

*The charging performance depends on vehicle equipment, the state of charge and health of the battery, battery temperature, individual driving profile, use of auxiliary users, ambient temperature, and the charging power provided at the charging station.

In your vehicle menu or the MINI App, you can easily and conveniently set your charge target to 80 percent and do not have to worry about anything else. A charging target of 80 percent covers all your daily driving distances. If you need more range, you can simply set a higher charging target.
